Why
NIST's three service models:
- IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service): you rent virtual machines, storage, networks and manage the OS and apps. Example: AWS EC2.
- PaaS (Platform as a Service): you deploy your code and the provider manages the runtime and servers. Example: Azure App Service.
- SaaS (Software as a Service): you just use the application. Example: Gmail.
More control means more responsibility.
