Options
- A search engine such as Google or Bing online
- A program like Chrome that requests and shows pages (Correct option)
- A type of server that hosts websites for others
- A programming language that is used for the web
Answer
A program (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) that requests web pages from servers and displays them
Why
A browser is an app on your device. When you type an address, it sends a request to a server, gets back HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and draws the page for you.
In client/server words, the browser is the client.
A search engine (Google, Bing) is just a website that you open with a browser.
Remember
Browser = the app that fetches and shows web pages.
