The interviewer asks about something you have not used. How do you answer honestly and well?
Answer
- Be honest: say clearly what you have not used. Do not invent experience.
- Show the nearest thing you know: 'I haven't used Kubernetes in production, but I have used Docker and understand containers, images and ports.'
- Explain the concept as far as you know it, in simple words.
- Say how you would learn it: official docs, a small project, asking teammates. Give an example of learning something quickly before.
- Stay calm and positive; ending with a curious question works well.
